Objective: to learn from Biblical example the importance of obedience in the Christian life
A. Cain & Abel
- In Gen. 4, two sacrifices are made. Evaluate each & note its acceptability to God.
- What do you think v. 7 (Gen. 4) is all about?
- Give a present-day counterpart to the 2 types of sacrifices offered by Cain & Abel.
B. Noah
- Why was God sorry He had made man? (also see Matt. 24:37-39)
- Why was Noah chosen by God to build an ark?
- What did God accomplish through Noah? (also see Heb. 11:7)
C. Abraham
- In what ways is Abraham the founder of the Jewish faith? (Gen. 12:2, 3; 16:4, 15; 17:19)
- Why do you think God made the request of Abraham recorded in Gen. 22?
- Study Gen. 22:8 thoroughly & give your explanation of it.
Life Application
- What important lesson has God’s response to Cain taught you?
- Do you think you would have gotten on the ark with Noah? Why?
- How have you & your family been blessed in Abraham? (Gen. 12:3)
