Seeing God’s Worldwide Purpose in Christ (c. 10)
•God’s purpose: penetrate all cultures with the gospel > persuade people of all people groups to become true disciples > project God’s kingdom into every society > press the course of history toward Christ’s return > permeate the earth with the glory of God

Missions (the process of the purpose) 6. Multiplying congregations (the strategy of the purpose) 7. Numerical growth (a measure of the purpose) 8. Compassion (the pulse of the purpose) 9. Cultural transformation (the impact of the purpose) 10. Satan (the enemy of the purpose)
Seeing a World Full of Possibilities through Christ (c. 11)
1. Church history points to the possibilities—missions work done from the 1st century till now 2. Spiritual renewal points to the possibilities—revival among the church worldwide 3. World trends point to the possibilities—migration, urbanization, opening of previously closed nations, population explosion, etc 4. Evangelistic acceleration points to the possibilities—numerical growth of the church in Africa, Latin America, & East Asia 5. Available personnel point to the possibilities—increased missions involvement 6. Modern resources point to the possibilities—technology, travel abilities, etc 7. “Closed doors” and a vision of the possibilities there 8. The American church’s involvement in the possibilities
